Long-Term Care Insurance
If you or your loved one paid into a long-term care insurance policy, it may cover most or all of the cost of in-home care. We do the heavy lifting: verifying your benefits, coordinating a call with your carrier, filing the claim, and billing the insurer directly, so you can start receiving care sooner.

We have relationships with many carriers and third-party administrators, which makes the claims process faster and far less stressful for your family.
Once your claim is approved, you choose how payment works:
You sign an "assignment of benefits" and we bill your insurance company directly. As long as care stays within what your policy pays, you have nothing out of pocket.
You pay us at our regular rate, and we give you itemized paid invoices plus the documentation to send to your carrier for reimbursement.
Not sure which is right for you? We'll walk through both during your free policy review and set up whichever your carrier and your family prefer.
Every policy is different, but most modern long-term care policies help pay for care in the home, which is where families most want to be. That commonly includes:
Most policies begin paying once a licensed professional certifies that the policyholder needs help with at least two of these, or has a cognitive impairment such as dementia. This is called meeting your "benefit trigger."
A few terms come up on almost every policy. Knowing them helps you understand what your coverage is really worth. We'll walk through all of these with you during your free review.
A waiting period, often 30, 60, or 90 days, that you pay out of pocket before benefits begin. Think of it like a deductible measured in days.
The most the policy will pay per day or month, for example $150/day or $4,500/month. Care above that amount is your responsibility.
How long benefits last (such as 3 years) or a total dollar pool the policy will pay out over the life of the policy.
An option that grows your daily benefit over time so it keeps pace with rising care costs. Many older policies include this.
The conditions that must be met to start receiving benefits, usually needing help with 2 of 6 ADLs or a cognitive impairment.
Most policies sold since 1997 are "tax-qualified," which can affect how benefits are taxed. We'll note this in your review.

Verify benefits with your carrier

We help you complete and submit the claim forms and the caregiver logs and invoices the carrier asks for.
Care begins, we handle billing
Care starts on schedule. With your assignment of benefits we bill your carrier directly, or you pay privately and we hand you paid invoices to submit for reimbursement. Either way we keep the documentation current.
We help policyholders with plans from all of the major long-term care insurers and their third-party administrators, including:
Don't see your carrier? We almost certainly work with them. Give us a call and we'll confirm.
Good to know
Coverage, elimination periods, and daily limits vary by policy, and some benefits are subject to your carrier's approval and requirements. Nothing here is a guarantee of coverage. The only way to know what your specific policy will pay is to have it reviewed, which we'll do for free.
